Kerala Floods: Jaaved Jaaferi Tweets About Salman Khan’s Rs 12 Cr Contribution; Later Says, ‘Need To Confirm It’
Bollywood celebs are known to come out in support during the hour of crisis. Celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan among others have donated to support the victims of Kerala's natural disaster. Actor Jaaved Jafferi took to social media to appreciate Salman Khan’s contribution of a whopping Rs 12 crore towards the Kerala floods relief fund. He had tweeted, “Heard @BeingSalmanKhan donated ₹12cr for Kerala...This man is something else. Kitnon ki duaein leke chal rahi hain isey. God Bless you bro. Love and #Respect”.

Soon after putting the tweet, Jaaferi started getting trolled for taking his name without any confirmation as Kerala Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan had mentioned the names of Bollywood celebs, who contributed to Kerala relief funds and that didn't state Salman's name in it.

Well, after learning about the mistake Jaaved clarified that he didn’t know about it. He tweeted again saying, “I had tweeted that I had ‘heard’ about @BeingSalmanKhan’s contribution. Because it was a very strong possibility given his track record, I put forward my thoughts and admiration. Taking the tweet off till I can confirm it.” Check out the tweets below:

Celebs across the industry have made their donation. We had also reported that Sushant Singh Rajput has donated Rs 1 crore to the fund and that too on behalf of a fan. Reportedly, Sushant's fan left a message on his Instagram timeline saying, "Sushant Singh Rajput, I don't have money but I want to donate for the flood. How can I donate? Please tell me."

Replying to his query Sushant said that he will donate in his name and make sure that it reaches to the people in need. Later, Sushant posted a screenshot of his contribution, along with the Instagram conversation he had with the fan and captioned it as, "As promised, my friend, @subhamranjan66, what you wanted to do, has been done. You made me do this, so be extremely proud of yourself. You delivered exactly when it was needed. Lots and lots of love. Fly. Cheers". To talk about Javed Jaaferi’s goof-up, well, we hope he confirms soon and set the records straight.
